Gran Baco de Oro 2024
Our Mencía was awarded the Gran Baco de Oro at the Premios Baco 2024, the benchmark wine competition for Spain's young wines, organised by the Unión Española de Catadores. It was one of only two Galician reds to reach the competition's top distinction.

What do these awards mean?
Premios Baco
Organised by the Unión Española de Catadores, they are the benchmark wine competition for Spain's young wines and the only nationwide one devoted exclusively to the most recent vintage. More than four decades of history and blind tasting.
VinDuero-VinDouro
An international wine competition for Spain and Portugal established in 2005, a benchmark across the Iberian territory. The Arribe de Ouro is its top distinction, awarded by an international jury.
Blind tasting
At all these competitions, oenologists, sommeliers and specialist journalists assess the samples without knowing the winery, which guarantees the objectivity and independence of the award.
